IOWA BIBLE READING MARATHON, June 30-July 3

In preparation for our nation’s birthday on July 4, Iowans are coming together to read the Bible aloud at Courthouse lawns throughout the state. Reading will go from Genesis to Revelation beginning Thursday, June 30, 8am and reading continuously through Sunday, July 3, 6pm.

In Des Moines County, 8am-8pm, reading will take place at the Des Moines County Courthouse, the front lawn at the corner of Main Street and Court Street. Night hours, 8pm-8am (or during threatening weather situations) will take place at City Gate House of Prayer, 424 Washington Street, just to the left of City Hall.
