Infrastructure to be primary focus of third legislative forum

MOUNT PLEASANT—The Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance Government Affairs Committee invites the public to a forum with area lawmakers Saturday, March 28, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. in the International Room of Chadwick Library at Iowa Wesleyan College.

The forum topic is “Addressing State and Local Infrastructure Needs.” Additional infrastructure issues include broadband for high speed internet, renewable energy infrastructure (wind and solar) and the existing tax credits, and utility infrastructure. Rep. Dave Heaton, R-Mount Pleasant, and Sen. Rich Taylor, D-Mount Pleasant, are both scheduled to attend. Joining them in discussion will be Mr. Kent White, former Henry County Supervisor and Jake Hotchkiss, Henry County Engineer. Dan McCabe of Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC will moderate.

Chamber Alliance Legislative Forums are the fourth Saturday of the month during the legislative session in the International Room of Chadwick Library on the Iowa Wesleyan College campus. The remaining 2015 schedule (topics subject to change) is as follows:
