CLIVE, Iowa — A Henry County woman has won a $30,000 Iowa Lottery prize.

Juanita Savely of Mount Pleasant claimed the ninth and final top prize available in the Iowa Lottery’s “Merry Multiplier” scratch game. The ticket was a Christmas gift from her daughter, who purchased it at Fast Break, 201 E. Washington St. in Mount Pleasant.

Savely claimed her prize Thursday at the lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids. She said she plans to use her winnings on a new roof for her home.

Once the final top prize in a scratch game is claimed, distribution ends and the game is pulled from retail shelves. Merry Multiplier was a $3 scratch game with a holiday-stocking theme that began sales Oct. 1 in Iowa and ended last week after the final top prize was claimed.

Remember that nonwinning holiday scratch tickets can be entered into the lottery’s Fa la la Loot Play it Again® promotion from now until tomorrow at 8:59 a.m. The promotion includes $125,000 in cash prizes, including a $20,000 grand prize. Tickets can be entered online or through the LotteryPlus mobile app. For rules and complete details, visit ialottery.com.
