Henry County Club M Receives Grant

Nonprofits receive $7,500 in grants

Awards from the Alliant Energy Foundation help fund community projects

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – May 27, 2015 – Four nonprofit organizations are receiving community grants totaling $7,500 from the Alliant Energy Foundation in the first of its two 2015 giving cycles.

Organizations receiving grants are:

· Henry County Agricultural Extension District, $2,000 for Club M

· Winneshiek County Conservation Board, $2,500 for Freeport Park Development

· Clinton Public Library, $1,500 for the Community Bookmobile

· Maquoketa Community School District, $1,500 for the Project Lead the Way Engineering program

“This was one of our most competitive grant cycles ever,” said Julie Bauer, executive director of the Alliant Energy Foundation. “These nonprofit organizations do so much for our communities, and we are proud to partner with them to help the people their programs serve, especially in the areas of Helping Families, Education and the Environment.”
