Hazel Faye Wolf, 94, of Keosauqua died at 3:52 P.M. Thursday June 18, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren, Keosauqua. She was born May 24, 1921 in rural Keosauqua to Orville and Elizabeth Radestock Chaney and married Keith Wolf May 24, 1941 in Ft. Madison. He died September 3, 1982.

Hazel grew up in rural Van Burn County and graduated from Bonaparte High School in 1939. She taught rural school for two years after she graduated in Van Buren County. She was a farm homemaker and also worked on the family farm. She was active in the former Bentonsport Ladies Aid and numerous other church activities. She was a long time member of the Bentonsport Methodist Church and after it closed she became a member of the Center Chapel Church, Keosauqua. In her later years she enjoyed reading and attending all of her great-grandchildren’s events.

Surviving are two sons, John Wolf (Sharon) and Robert Wolf (Lorri Talley) all of Keosauqua, a brother, Bob Chaney (Lucy) of Elgin, IL, a sister Donna Ollig of Galesburg, IL, four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Wells, three brothers, Melvin, Earl and Bill Chaney, two sisters, Grace Schroeder and Ruth Mavis and a great-grandson, Dustin Wells

Funeral services will at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday June 23, 2015 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Rev. Herd Shafer officiating. Visitation will open at 3 P.M. with the family present from 5 to 7 P.M at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miller Chapel Cemetery, rural Keosauqua. Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 26705 225th Street, Keosauqua, IA 52565
