Garry Seyb, Sr.

Garry Wayne Seyb, Sr., 67, of Donnellson, Iowa passed away at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 as a result of a automobile accident.

Born July 22, 1947 in Keokuk, Iowa the son of Kenneth and Ida (Lewis) Seyb. On August 18, 1965 he married Charlotte M. Pilkington at the United Church of Christ Church in Donnellson, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte of Donnellson, six children Garry W. (Joyce) Seyb Jr. of Keokuk, Maggie (Barry) Davis of Donnellson, Bill Seyb of Donnellson, Peter (Kelli) Seyb of Keokuk, Sarah (Matt) Tweedy of Donnellson and Laura (Donnie) McDowell of Donnellson, sixteen grandchildren: Hope and Hannah Seyb; Zach, Kenny, Abbie and Ethan Barnett; Annabel, Peter Jr. and Johnny Seyb; Mattlyn, Trenten, Avree and Quenten Tweedy; Arabella, Aiden and Charlotte McDowell, one great grandchild on the way, one brother Kent Seyb of Donnellson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Garry became a LPN after attending school at the North Dakota State School of Science. He worked as a caregiver and a farmer. He was a member of the New Testament Christian Church, the Southeast Iowa Car Club and the Old Buick Car Club. Garry enjoyed woodworking, sewing, vacationing, the Old Threshers Reunion, the Iowa State Fair, playing cards, working on his 1913 Buick, antique lamps, farming, coin collecting and gardening. He never knew a stranger.

Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. that evening at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, Iowa with Brother Bill Hauser officiating.

Burial will be at the Evangelical Cemetery in Donnellson, Iowa.
