From the Henry County Sheriff’s Office…

The second week of April is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. It is to recognize, honor and thank 911 dispatchers who serve in this essential profession.   These communications professionals now classified as first responders serve our community, citizens and public safety personnel.  They are responsible for answering telephone calls for police, fire and medical to help save the lives and property of those in our community. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has 6 full-time dispatchers and 1 part-time with combined experience of about 60yrs.  During this week, please take this opportunity to thank the Henry County Sheriff’s Office dispatch employees for the work they do and to celebrate and honor those unseen first responders that are behind the radios and phones.
