A Montrose man was killed in a single vehicle accident Monday. 62 year old Larry Earl King died of injuries he received when he he was ejected from a vehicle in which he was a passenger. The Lee County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene at 11 am near the intersection of 235th Avenue and Argyle Road, near Keokuk. The driver of the vehicle 62 year old Patsy Jean King lost control. The vehicle left the road on a curve, entered a ditch and struck an embankment. It became airborne, landed on its wheels and rolled. Patsy King was taken to the Keokuk Area Hospital for treatment of injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt, Larry was not.
