Fall Commercial Pesticide Applicator Training Dates Announced

Des Moines, Henry, Lee and Louisa Counties to Host Sessions


Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be hosting Continuing Instruction Courses (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators this fall. Eight different sessions are scheduled in Des Moines, Henry, Lee and Louisa counties. The program can also be seen at Extension office locations across Iowa through the ISU Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP).


For each session, registration begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by the training from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The registration fee is $35. Applicators are asked to call at least 1 business day prior to the training to register. Late registrations or reshowings of the training will be allowed, but a late fee may be applied. Please contact your county’s Extension office for late fee and reshow policies.

Categories 2, 5, 6, and 10:  Aquatic, Forest, and Right-of-Way Pest Management

Categories 3O, 3T, 3OT, and 10: Ornamental and Turfgrass Applicators

November 9, 9am


Categories: 7C and 10: Fumigation

November 15, 9am


Categories 1A, 1B, 1C, and 10: Commercial Ag Weed, Insect, and Plant Disease Management

November 16, 9am


Categories 7A, 7B, 8 and 10: Pest Control Operators

December 7, 9am


Categories 11 and 10: Areal Applicators
