Fairfield Arts & Convention Center announces 2016-17 Artist Series: Living it Live at the Sondheim

Season features 18 performances from China, Austria, India, Russia and the U.S.
   Fairfield, Iowa – It’s Showtime! The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center is excited to announce the 2016-17 Artist Series: Living it Live at the Sondheim.  The curtain will soon be raised for what is being hailed as the best season ever at the Sondheim theater.
The Artist Series, themed Living it Live at the Sondheim, features 18 shows creating opportunities to celebrate magical moments experienced through live performances that amaze, inspire and entertain.
Now in its eighth year, the Artist Series includes eight Broadway style shows, three country music icons and performances from China, Russia, Austria, India and the U.S.
The season is about Broadway national touring shows, highlighted by the national touring production of Annie, the historic tour of DrumLine Live and the unmistakable Fame – The Musical; Grammy award-winning musicians Diamond Rio, Mark Chesnutt and Collin Raye; the exhilarating Shanghai Acrobats; and the elegant Swan Lake from the Russian National Ballet Theater. The spirit of the King of Rock and Roll comes alive with Elvis Lives, the ultimate Elvis tribute event featuring three Elvis performers. Grand scale magic and illusion will be on display with The Magic of Bill Blagg Live, you will be doing double takes in disbelief.
This season sees encore performances from the Vienna Boys Choir and The Blues Brothers Revue, who both played to sold out Sondheim audiences in previous seasons. Living it Live at the Sondheim series celebrates family classics with Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer – The Musical and young audiences favorites A Year with Frog & Toad and Dinosaur Zoo Live.
If comedy is your thing, The Second City and Slate magazine team up for Unelectable You, the political revue to “Trump” them all and the hilarious ladies from Menopause The Musical celebrate women and the change.  If international sensations are what you are looking for, Taj Express, the Bollywood Musical Revue explodes with sights and sounds of India and capturing the vibrant expressive spirt of the world of Bollywood.
“This season it’s about the thrill of live performance,” said Kadie Dennison, marketing and development manager at the Center. “It’s about bringing America’s favorite performances to you. Whether you have a favorite seat at the Sondheim or if it’s your first time to Southeast Iowa’s premier venue, we’re confident you will love it live. Pick the show; it’s going to be standing ovations and memorable encores. The captivating spectacles will leave you in awe and the music could very well become the soundtrack of your life.”

There are many ticket options available from the entire season to individual performances. Discount season tickets and pick 14, 10, 6, and 3 packages, including the new discounted Country Music package, Broadway Pick 6 and Pick 3 and single show tickets are available at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center Ticket Office, 641-472-2787 and www.FairfieldACC.com, Youth and student tickets are $15 for all performances, available only at the Ticket Office.

The Platinum and Gold package offers either four or two tickets to each performance at 30% or 25% discount of the single ticket prices. The Broadway Pick 6, one ticket to six Broadway shows, is offered at a 15% discount and Broadway Pick 3, one ticket to three Broadway shows is 10% off and the Country Music Package, one ticket to the three country music shows is also 10% discount.  The Pick 14, one ticket to 14 performances is 19% single ticket prices, Pick 10 is 17% discount, Pick 6 is 14% off and Pick 3 is 10% off.
