Chicago Woman Arrested on Several Fraud Counts

January 21 Mt. Pleasant Police were notified of fraudulent cash advances on credit cards occurring at financial institutions in Mt. Pleasant. It was determined that a female subject had entered two separate banking locations in Mt. Pleasant and obtained funds through fraudulent credit cards. Thursday the same suspect entered US Bank in Mt. Pleasant and again attempted to obtain money with a fraudulent credit card. The suspect was identified as Jasmine Ashley Williams of Chicago. She was arrested charged with ongoing criminal conduct, three counts of credit card fraud. theft in the second degree and interference with official acts.
