On Monday September 19, 2016 at approximately 5:43AM the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3200 grid of US Highway 218 for a report of a car vs deer accident. Upon investigation it was determined that a 1987 Toyota car, owned & operated by Marvin Boyles of West Point, was traveling north on US Highway 218 when he struck a deer in the roadway, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and come to rest in the east ditch. Henry County Health Center Ambulance and Salem First Responders responded to the scene as minor injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at approximately $1,500.00 and a State Accident Report was completed.
