Henry County Public Health’s regular immunization clinics will be closed each Tuesday in February so staff can focus on COVID-19 vaccine administration.
Because of the unpredictable road conditions and low temps, the Mount Pleasant Christian School is canceling Taco Tuesday this week. Next week they will opening up to have inside dining and not have Drive-Thru because of the cold temperatures for the outdoor cashier.
The Mount Pleasant Planning & Zoning Commission meets at 5:30 pm at City Hall, 307 E. Monroe, in the large conference room. The meeting is open to the public.
The Henry County Conservation Board will hold their February 2021 Board meeting on at 5:30 pm in the conservation board meeting room at the office in Oakland Mills. Please note the new time.
CORRECTION...this event is moved to March 6:Thank You Is Not Enough's 4th annual Soup Supper at the Mount Pleasant Moose Lodge from 5 to 7 pm. There will be several different types of soups as well as veggies and desserts to raise money for veterans. There will be a ceremony for Honor Quilts. This is open to the public.
New London VFW has a catfish and chicken dinner tonight from 5 to 7:30 pm. Catfish is $9.50, chicken $7 and all white is $8. Dinner includes a roll and choice of two of the following: french fries, baked beans and coleslaw.
Monday, Feb. 15 is Presidents Day. The Mount Pleasant City offices are closed Monday and trash collection will be one day later.
The four Henry County rural sites for trash pickup are closed this coming week. You can bring your trash to Mount Pleasant, Monday-Thursday (10a-5p) and regular hours on Friday and Saturday. The rural sites have been closed due to cold weather.
Wednesday Feb 17th and Wednesday Feb 24th from 10 AM to Noon the Fellowship Cup in Mt. Pleasant will be distributing winter hats, mittens, gloves and Youth winter coats as long as supplies last. If you have not already received these items from the Fellowship Cup, please come.
