November 3 Daylight Savings Time Ends. Hopefully, you have set your clocks back one hour.
The Henry County Democrats are hosting a “mock caucus” today from 2 to 4 p.m., in the Social Hall of Iowa Wesleyan University’s student activity center. Interested individuals are invited to find out more about the caucus process. Participants will be caucusing for their favorite desserts instead of actual candidates.
The Shining Stars Special Needs Ministry is meeting today from 4 to 5:30 pm in the E3 Center. There will be music and a message, snacks, fellowship and fun. Everyone is invited to attend this meeting- all needs and abilities are welcome to join the fun! Caregivers and parents can either join the fun or check in their guest and then return at pick up time. Transportation may also be available. The Washington County 4-H Program will host their annual Awards Night at the KC Hall in Washington. The 4-H family is welcome to gather for a family 4-H potluck meal at 5 p.m. which is optional. Families who wish to participate should bring a two dishes to pass in a disposable container. Serving utensils, table service and drinks will be provided with pork burger grilled by the Washington County Pork Producers. Washington County 4-H alumni are asked to arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. to be in the alumni photo.
Trenton United Methodist Church will host a chili supper and silent auction from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Half the proceeds from the freewill offering will be used to provide winterwear for children and other persons in Henry County. There will also be a silent auction.
The Four Italian Tenors will perform tonight at 7:30 pm in the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. Tickets are available online at fairfieldacc.com or by calling 641-472-2787.
