The Mount Pleasant City compost site is open every Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm. The site is located southwest of Saunders Park at the end of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.
The Dover Museum is open every Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 pm through October. There is no charge, but donations are welcome. The museum is air conditioned and handicap accessible.
The Family Connection Fall Party will be held at 1 pm at East Lake Park. There will be family fun, games, and crafts. All Henry County families with young children are welcome to attend.
The Embury United Methodist Church is having their Annual Pasta Supper tonight from 4 to 7 pm. They will be serving spaghetti and lasagna, chicken and noodles, beef and noodles, french bread, tossed salad, pie, and cake, for a free will donation.
The United Church of Crawfordsville is having their Harvest Supper and Auction tonight. From 4:30 to 6:45 pm, they will be serving creamed chicken, biscuits, beef burgers, potato salad, chips, and desserts for a free will offering. The auction will begin at 7 pm.
First Baptist Church Trunk-or-Treat from 5 to 7 pm at 100 East Webster in Mt. Pleasant. There will be candy, fun, refreshments and a free gift to the first 100 families.
New London VFW hosts a dinner tonight from 5 to 7:30 pm. Ham steak is $10 and ribeye steak is $14. Dinner includes a baked potato, salad and dinner roll. Halloween karaoke starts at 7:30 pm. Wear your Halloween attire!
Douds is having their Trick or Treat Event tonight from 6 to 8 pm.
The Midwest Haunted Rails continues tonight! They will be open from 6 to 10:30 pm. Tickets are $12 per person and get you unlimited rides on the Ghost Train, Ghostly Trolley, Haunted Carousel, and other activities! (games, food, and Thrashers House of Terror not included). Ages four and under get in free.
Thrashers House of Terror will be open tonight from 6 pm to midnight. Tickets are $10 per person or $15 for the fast pass. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The Cotillion Club announces the second dance of the 2019-2020 schedules. Ned Francis will play your favorites at the Loft in downtown Burlington. Dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., open to the public, singles welcome. Cover charge is $12.50 per person for non-members. Anyone interested in listening or dancing to live music are invited to join this not for profit group for an enjoyable evening of ballroom dancing.
The Haunted School continues tonight in the former Bonaparte School at 602 8th St! They'll be open from 7 to 11 pm. Tickets are $10. Recommended ages 12 and up.
Madness in the Machine Shed is open today from 8 pm to midnight. They are located at the corner of Hwy 78 and Nebraska Ave in Winfield. Admission is $10, and children 14 and younger must have adult supervision.
