The 6th annual Rec Center Glowing Pumpkin Fun Run starting at 6 pm at East Lake Park. This is a family friendly event that has games, bounces houses, giveaways, costume contests, trick or treating, even a doggie costume contest. Run or walk the entire route. You can do one or two laps at this fun, not-timed event. Food will be available for purchase. You can register at the Rec Center or online.
Burlington downtown Trick or Treat will be from 4 to 6 PM, with treats available at dozens of participating merchants. As a special feature this year, the public will also be able to tour the State Historical Museum of Iowa’s “Iowa History 101” mobile museum for free at Third and Jefferson. For the safety of the increasing number of participants, Jefferson St. will be closed to traffic and parking during Downtown Trick or Treat.
The Midwest Haunted Rails continues tonight! They will be open from 6 to 10 pm. Tickets are $12 per person and get you unlimited rides on the Ghost Train, Ghostly Trolley, Haunted Carousel, and other activities! (games, food, and Thrashers House of Terror not included). Ages four and under get in free.
Thrashers House of Terror will be open tonight from 6 pm to midnight. Tickets are $10 per person or $15 for the fast pass. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The Haunted School begins tonight in the former Bonaparte School at 602 8th St! They'll be open from 7 to 11 pm. Tickets are $10. Recommended ages 12 and up.
Madness in the Machine Shed is open today and tomorrow from 8 pm to midnight. They are located at the corner of Hwy 78 and Nebraska Ave in Winfield. Admission is $10, and children 14 and younger must have adult supervision.
