Main Street Mount Pleasant will host a total of 4 hours of group voting in the national contest for grant money to support the Union Block. The first hour will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 am at the Middle School. The second hour will be held from noon to 1 pm at the Union block featuring free lunch and a lunch and learn program and then, also at the Union Block, there will be a fun 1920s-themed party complete with drinks, appetizers and dancing from 5 to 9 pm with voting from 5 to 7 pm.
A Henry County Community Afternoon blood drive will be hosted from 2 pm to 6 pm today at 1400 E. Washington St., inside the E3 Center Meeting Room.
St. Michael's Episcopal Church of Mt. Pleasant is having their Annual Spaghetti Supper tonight. They will be serving from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Carry outs are available. Spaghetti served with Garlic Bread Homemade desserts and drink for a Free Will Donation.
It's Jurassic County Park tonight with the Henry County Conservation Department! From 6 to 7:30 pm, time travel back to the Mesozoic Era. The first 200 kids will receive a passport that will be stamped at 5 prehistoric stations prior to participants starting their journey on the trail as they search for 15 dinosaurs. All ages are welcome, but kids must be accompanied by an adult. Jurassic County Park will be held at Oakland Mills County Park, rain or shine. Activities will be held indoors at the nature center in the event of inclement weather. Usborne Books and More will be set up in the Nature Center. Learn about dinosaurs on your hike, then buy a book to take home! This event is free and open to the public!
Thrashers House of Terror will be open tonight from 6:30 to 10 pm. Tickets are $10 per person or $15 for the fast pass. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Postmodern Jukebox will be in the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center tonight at 7:30 pm as part of their Welcome to the Twenties 2.0 Tour.
