Step back in time to the 1950s today from 5 to 7 pm in Mt. Pleasant with Main Street Mount Pleasant's Vintage 1950's Business Tour! Tour the downtown businesses that were here in the 1950s.
At 5:15 p.m., the James Harlan Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution will be rededicating the Charles Shepherd Monument in Mount Pleasant’s Forest Home Cemetery. Shepherd is the only known Revolutionary War Patriot buried in Henry County. The chapter will also be presenting the 2019 Community Service Award to the Henry County Historic Preservation Commission and the public is encouraged to attend. Enter Forest Home Cemetery from the South Walnut Street main entrance. Follow the roadway to the east, then to the south. In case of rain, the dedication and presentation will be held at the Veterans Hall, 103 South Jackson Street, Mount Pleasant. Questions?
