The Ladies for Charity are having a rummage sale today, tomorrow, and Saturday in the St. Alphonsus Manning Hall. Today and tomorrow they will be open from 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to noon. Saturday will be a free will offering!
The National Day of Prayer brings people together on the first Thursday of May from all around our nation to give thanks to God and ask His continued blessing on every aspect of our lives. ALL people in our region, individuals and families, every age and cultural heritage are invited:
National Day of Prayer Gathering Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Port of Burlington, 400 Front Street, Burlington, Iowa. Pastors, civic and community leaders will share in prayer, encouraging us to "Love One Another," the 2019 NDP theme. Students from Great River Christian School will sing our national anthem, as well as a hymn.
US Senator Joni Ernst's office will be holding traveling office hours to provide assistance with casework for constituents. Please note that Senator Ernst will not be at the traveling office hours. Representatives from Senator Ernsts's office will be available today in the Sigourney City Hall Council Chambers from 1 pm to 2 pm, and the Washington Public Library's State Bank Room from 3 pm to 4 pm.
"Pie In The Sky" Pie Walk in the Mount Pleasant Downtown from 4 to 6 pm.
Fairfield is holding a RAGBRAI rally at 6:30 pm at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. The meeting will start with a general overview along with route maps and maps of the camping areas. The entertainment will be announced and ways to participate in hosting the cyclists will be explained. Fairfield is an overnite stop on July 25.
The Players Workshop of Burlington presents the comedy One Small Hitch, with permission from Dramatists Play Service, today, tomorrow, and Saturday at 7:30 pm, and Sunday at 2 pm.
