Mount Pleasant Fire Department annual pancake breakfast from 6 am to 10 am at the fire station 204 S. Jackson. Pancakes, whole hog sausage, orange juice and coffee for a free will donation.
The Fairfield Shrine Club's Annual Pancake Breakfast will be held at the Fairfield VFW at 121 East Broadway St. from 6 AM until 10 AM. They will be serving pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, coffee, milk, and juice. All you care to eat- Adults are only $6, and kids 12 and under are free.
Trenton United Methodist Church pancake breakfast for a free will offering from 7:30 to 9:30 am.
Relay for Life Team No One Walks Alone is having an Easter Sale. There will be baskets, goodies and homemade goods at Kramer's Gas Station in Salem from 8 am to 2 pm.
There are lots of Easter Egg hunts going on in the Villages of Van Buren today! The first one is at the Lacy-Keosaqua State Park in the 1st Shelter House at 9 am. Then at 10 am, there will be one at the Milton City Park and one in Douds at Yates Park. The next one is at 10:30 am in the Stockport City Park. 1:30 pm, Cantril has their Easter Egg hunt at the Waubonsie Park. Finally at 2 pm, Bonaparte searches at the Former Elementary School Building.
The First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant is having an Easter Egg hunt today starting at 10 am.
The Annual Winfield Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 3:30 pm at Sunrise Terrace Care Center.
SCC celebrates April as National Poetry Month by hosting a Visiting Writers Series event at 8 pm with Rita Mae Reese, a nationally acclaimed and award-winning author. The reading will be held in the Little Theatre, Room 333, on West Burlington's campus, and will be followed by a brief question and answer session with the author. This is free and open to the public, but space is limited.
