Mount Pleasant Main Street's Easter Egg Hunt is today starting at 10 am in Central Park!
New London Community Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 am at New London Specialty Care. There will also be a magic show and a contest to guess how much the Golden Egg weighs.
There is an Easter Egg hunt today in the Birmingham City Park, starting at 1 pm.
Join the VFW/Briggs center in Wapello from 7 to 11 pm for a night of fun dance and great country music with Whiskey River. 3$ cover and 5$ per couple.
Mount Pleasant Christian School play, "Under the Big Top" will be performed at 2 pm at the school on East Washington Street. Cost is $3.00. Age 3 and under are free.
The Golden Memories event continues today at the Theatre Museum on the Old Thresher's grounds. Presentations from 9 am to noon include “My Radio Family,” Life in a Wild West Show, Showboats, and early 1900s theater. There will be museum and research library tours throughout the day. Presentations from 1 pm to 5 pm include Andrew Edlin on researching & portraying Winston Churchill in a one-man play at 2 pm, museum consultant and IW Librarian Joy Conwell on "Preserving the Past for the Future"-a look at techniques used in libraries, historical societies & museums as they implement "Best Practices" in preserving our histories at 4 pm. Admission to morning or Afternoon program is $10, or Admission to all programs with a new annual membership in the National society for the preservation of tent, Folk & repertoire theatre. The evening program will feature a screening of Saving Brinton for Folk & repertoire theatre members only.
New London VFW hosts a catfish and chicken dinner from 5 to 7:30 pm. Catfish is $9.50, chicken is $7, and white chicken is $8. Dinner includes a roll and choice of two of the following: french fries, baked beans or coleslaw.
The Capitol Musical Theater Program presents "Besties on Broadway: New York" today at 7 pm and tomorrow at 2 pm. Adult tickets are $5 and children's admission is free.
The public is invited to attend a free concert in University Chapel at 7 pm to celebrate 100 Years of Music at Iowa Wesleyan. Join alumni and friends of the IW Music Department Centennial Choir and Centennial Band as they commemorate the official founding of the IW Music Department.
The Cotillion Dance Club invites you to their dance tonight at The LOFT, in Burlington. Take Two will play from 7:30 to 10:30 pm. This event is open to the public, and singles are welcome. Casual dress for this one. Cover charge is $12.50 per person for non-members.
Wapello VFW Post 5166 has a dance night from 7 to 11 pm at the Briggs Center. Whiskey River Band will perform old time country music. Cost is $3, $5 per couple.
