Last chance to see the Mt. Pleasant Community Theatre celebrate 50 years with the romantic musical comedy "Guys and Dolls" today at 2 pm at the Heatilator Center for the Performing Arts in Mount Pleasant. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students and can be purchased at the door.
Continuing the celebration of its 125th year, Trenton United Methodist Church welcomes the Iowa Wesleyan University Concert Choir to their 9 AM worship service. The 34 voice choir, directed by Blair Buffington, is recognizing the 100th anniversary of music education at Iowa Wesleyan. The choir will lead congregational singing, and will present a variety of musical additions to the worship service. The congregation will gather a free-will offering to support the choir’s spring travel expenses. Following worship, the congregation and guests will show St Valentine Day affection to the choir by serving a beef burger sandwich brunch. Located at the east edge of Trenton, the building is fully accessible, with plenty of free parking. The morning worship and brunch are open to all who wish to hear and support the Choir.
Church worship services for the Cottonwood United Methodist church will be held at 9 am at the Wayland City Hall Community Center, not at the church. There will not be any Sunday School.
Mt. Pleasant city offices will be closed Monday, February 18th, to celebrate President's Day. Garbage collections will be one day later than usual that week.
