Come to the Mt. Pleasant Community Schools Art Show this afternoon from 1 to 3 pm at the Henry County Courthouse. Artwork will be on display on all levels of the courthouse during the month of March.
The Van Buren Community Players will be performing "Catch Me If You Can", a play based on the hit film and the incredible true story about Frank Abagnale Jr. The play will be held at the Roberts Memorial Building, 20497 Hwy. 1 N., Keosauqua at 5 pm. Ticket pricing is as follows: Adults: $10, Children under 18: $6, Seniors on Sunday: $8.
Three veteran Players Workshop actors will take to the stage to portray three retired World War I veterans in a French military hospital in Players Workshop of Burlington’s upcoming performance of the dramedy Heroes today at the Workshop at 1431 Grove St. Today's Sunday matinee performance is at 2 pm. The play is presented with special permission of Samuel French.
St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Franklin is holding their annual Soup and Sandwich Luncheon in the Community Room from 11 am to to 1 pm. They will be serving oyster, vegetable, chili, potato soups along with beef burgers, chicken, hotdogs, pies, desserts and drinks by freewill donation.
The Shining Starts Special Needs Ministry meets the first Sunday of each month from 4 to 5:30 pm at the E3 Center on East Washington Street in Mt. Pleasant. This ministry is for ages 14 and up. There is music, a message, snacks as well as fellowship and fun.
