The Van Buren Community Players will be performing "Catch Me If You Can", a play based on the hit film and the incredible true story about Frank Abagnale Jr., today, tomorrow, and Sunday. The play will be held at the Roberts Memorial Building, 20497 Hwy. 1 N., Keosauqua. Ticket pricing is as follows: Adults: $10, Children under 18: $6, Seniors on Sunday: $8. Tickets are available beginning February 1st at First Iowa State Bank, 714 1st St. Keosauqua.
The Center for Rural Affairs and Practical Farmers of Iowa is hosting "Map of My Kingdom", a play focusing on farmland transfer, today at 7:30 pm at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. An open discussion will follow the performance with Sally Worley, Practical Farmers of Iowa's executive director.
Houghton Knights of Columbus have a fish fry from 5 to 8 pm at the Hall. Fish and shrimp dinners are available. Carryouts are welcome, phone 469-2641.
Sign up for Houghton summer ball teams from 5:30 to 7:30 pm during the K of C fish fry. This is for t-ball, intermediate, minors, majors little miss and junior miss leagues. The $30 sign up fee includes a shirt and hat.
Mt. Pleasant Parks and Rec is having an Indoor Soccer Camp. Indoor soccer is offered to boys and girls who are in grades 1st-5th. The overall goal of this program is to promote education, sportsmanship, and fun. This camp will be instructed by the Mount Pleasant Varsity Girls Soccer Coach, Brennan Williams, and the Mount Pleasant Varsity Boys Soccer Coach, Neil Schmitz. Registration is from February 1 to March 1. The camp dates are March 4-7 from 5:30-6:15 PM at the Cottrell Gym. The fee for registration is $20 for Residents and $25 for Non-residents.
