The Henry County Auditor's office is open for absentee voting from 8 am to 5 pm.
The Mt. Pleasant Compost site is open from 8 am to 5 pm. The site is located behind Saunders Park at the west end of Yocum Lane.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department is participating in the National RX Collection Day sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The Mount Pleasant Police will be accepting unused or expired Prescription drugs or over the counter medications at the Police Department from 10am through 2pm.

Holy Trinity God's Portion Day events begin this evening with the fish fry from 5-7 pm. The Live Auction starts at 7 pm, the bake sale and the Spirit Booth open at 7 pm. The auction as well as lots of other activities continue on Sunday all at the Holy Trinity Catholic High School in Fort Madison.

Help for the Homeless Harvest Ball Fundraiser, 6-11 pm at the Burlington Moose Lodge. Tickets are $30 a person, Food, music, dancing, costume contest with a cash prize, 50/50 raffle and auction. Tickets are available at both HyVees in Burlington, Weird Harolds and Carter Chiropractic in New London. This Masquerade/costume Ball benefits Transitions DMC, a non profit organizations working on providing housing and support for the homeless in Southeast Iowa.
The Embury Pasta Supper will be held at Embury United Methodist Church (2543 150th Ave) in Donnellson from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. They will have a Bake Sale, a Bazaar Table, and Free-will Donation.
