Mrs. Logan, the former Betty Jane Coleson, was born July 30, 1926 in Fairfield. She was the daughter of Laurence Victor and Clara Belinda (Sanden) Coleson. She attended school in Fairfield. On March 30, 1944 in Fairfield, Betty was united in marriage to Lawrence Wilbert Logan. Mr. Logan died June 3, 1992 in Mt. Pleasant.
Betty worked at some local restaurants before accepting a position on the Fabrication Floor of the former Vega Industries (now Hearth & Home Technologies). As her husband was a truck driver, she also held the position of being a “trucker’s wife”, handling all the aspects of raising the family and running the household while her husband was on the road. Betty liked to cook, play Rummy and work on Jigsaw puzzles. Betty spent hours on the swing of her home’s front porch, socializing with everyone who passed by. She was an avid fan of the WWE and its star, John Cena. Most especially, she loved to be with her kids, grandkids and family.
Those thankful for sharing in Betty’s life include her daughter, Jean Logan of Mt. Pleasant; 2 daughters-in-law, Jane Logan of Mt. Pleasant and Nancy Logan of Spring Hill, FL; 1 sister-in-law, Lela Coleson; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, 2 sons – Stacey and Steve Logan, a son-in-law, Bob Hill, 3 sisters – Rosie Conner, Eloise Kopatich and Verlin Skoconski and a brother – Donald “Dutch” Coleman, precede Betty in death.
