Beth Alice (Krehbiel) Roth, 90, of Donnellson, Iowa passed away at 9:12 a.m. Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa

Born November 21, 1925 in Donnellson, Iowa the daughter of Paul and Hilda (Maxfield) Krehbiel. On March 9, 1946 she married Wayne “Shorty” Roth in Joplin, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2006.

Survivors include her three daughters; Kathy (Richard) Keeler of Fort Madison, Iowa, Cindy (Doug) Benner of Donnellson, Iowa and Maribeth (Brad) Holtkamp of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, one son; David (Pam) Roth of Donnellson, Iowa, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one brother; Herb Krehbiel of Chesterfield, Missouri, two sisters; Marilyn Anderson of Keokuk, Iowa and Doris Kempker of Oelwein, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Wayne “Shorty”.

Beth was a 1943 graduate of Donnellson High School. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, the Naomi Circle of the church, the Artaban Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and the United Ostomy Association. She was owner and operator, with her husband, of Dairy Sweet in Donnellson for twenty five years, retiring in 1987. Beth volunteered at the Donnellson Health Center, Henry County Health Center and the Donnellson library’s genealogy department. She enjoyed reading, writing daily in her diary, riding her bike, traveling and square dancing.

Friends may call Sunday, November 29, 2015 after 12:00 noon at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, Iowa where the family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. that afternoon.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Donnellson, Iowa with Pastor Dean Moberg officiating.

Burial will be at the Evangelical Cemetery in Donnellson.

Memorials have been established in her memory for the Donnellson Public Library or the United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
