Arrest Made in Stolen Vehicle Case

On 6/22/16, at 12:40 hours, the Mt Pleasant Police Department was advised of a stolen vehicle from the Super Wash at 708 N Wohlleber Dr in Mt Pleasant, IA. A Chevy Equinox was stolen by a male subject later identified as Rodney Stouder age 38 of Lockridge IA.

 

While officers were attempting to locate Stouder and the stolen car, he left the car and began going to houses asking for help. Officers continued to follow up on calls where he had been seen.

 

Stouder then went to another residence in Mt Pleasant, and they called the Police who located Stouder at that house.

 

Stouder was arrested and transported to the Henry County Jail and charged with Theft 1st. More charges are pending.

 

The Mt Pleasant Police were assisted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Transportation.

 

This investigation was partially a result of concerned citizens assisting by calling in suspicious activity. Mt Pleasant Police continues to urge citizens to call in any suspicious activity to their local law enforcement agencies.
