It was another successful weekend for the Mt. Pleasant High School Panther Marching Band as they came home with the Sweepstakes Award for the best band overall in field show competition at the Clark County Parade of Champions in Kahoka, Missouri Saturday night.

In addition to that coveted award, they also placed first in class 4A , receiving caption awards for Best Color Guard and Best Drum Majors in both 4A and among all bands.

The only other area school participating was the Ft. Madison Marching Bloodhounds, who placed second in class 4A and won a caption award for best percussion.
