Participants Rush the End Zone to Raise Funds and Awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association

[BURLINGTON, IA] – The Alzheimer’s Association’s Blondes vs. Brunettes® season three game event will be held Sunday, May 3rd at the RecPlex in Burlington, IA. The event kicks off at 2 pm and gates open at 1:15 pm. See the Brunettes take on the Blondes this year and defend their title as Victors!

Blondes vs. Brunettes is a volunteer event driven by young women passionate about making a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s and dementia. Two teams, divided based on the age-old rivalry between blondes and brunettes, aim to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease among a new generation. Each player raises funds which benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Sponsors and males coaches assist in supporting the players and mission.

Since its inception, Blondes vs. Brunettes has expanded to more than 35 cities nationwide
including Boston, Buffalo, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul and
New York. Together, Blondes vs. Brunettes events have raised more than $5 million to date.

This year’s game will be an interesting one, as each side has won a season and competition is sure to be high as they play season three for the title. Presenting sponsor is Titan Broadcasting: 101.7 The Bull and 107.3 The New mix. DJ’s from each station will choose their side and cheer on their team as they MC the game. Will it be the Blondes or Brunettes taking home the trophy this year?

Join us game day for family friendly activities: face painting, cheerleaders, the Stepperettes, raffle drawings, special speaker and more! Tickets are $10 and children 17 and under get in free. Tickets are available from participants and at the gate. All participants are encouraged to sport their favorite team’s colors (Blondes – Gray / Brunettes – Purple) and get in on the action as they cheer from the stands. Don’t miss this season’s event and together LET’S TACKLE ALZHEIMER’S!
